I find the yarn slides more easily off the Bates hooks. Well just a matter of preference!
I too just recently saw the bamboo one - going to try them. I love using bamboo knitting needles.Pamela Bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12630008161555789983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131037504534844607.post-77837595690030860732010-07-07T09:54:38.927-04:002010-07-07T09:54:38.927-04:00I want the bamboo ones now. Susan Bates hooks tend to have a much shorter shaft than Boye's. I love my Boyes because I like to have a lot of room where the shaft is concerned.

Thanks for this article.Motylalkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10275675346708900647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131037504534844607.post-5936734112607116142010-06-21T19:25:27.518-04:002010-06-21T19:25:27.518-04:00I realized years ago that there was Boye and Bates...I realized years ago that there was Boye and Bates and the difference. I really love the Boye hooks and do not care for the Bates at all. My daughter, however likes Bates.
Blessings,
Dianecrafty dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08071469435959091830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131037504534844607.post-262606179084373602010-06-21T19:20:42.927-04:002010-06-21T19:20:42.927-04:00Yeah, I realized that not to long ago, and the Boy...Yeah, I realized that not to long ago, and the Boye hooks are my favorite and the ones I use all the time. I rarely use my plastic or bamboo hooks and never use my Bates. I think there is a difference between the old Boye steel hooks when they were made in the USA, then the ones now made in china.gwengoodshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935135186690924004noreply@blogger.com
