Etsy Shop of the Week: Handmade Sunshine

http://handmadesunshine.etsy.com/

Handmade Sunshine is a delightful Etsy shop that specializes in hand spun yarns. This is the place to browse if you knit or crochet and wish to enjoy the luxury of working with hand spun fibers. Sarah, the shop owner of Handmade Sunshine, has a passion for fibers.

"I love the feel of the fibers slipping through my fingers and the creative process where I decide how I want to spin the colors together. Most of my yarn features long color repeats resulting in stripes of color."

Sarah chose the name Handmade Sunshine for her shop because Sunshine is a nickname of hers. It's a fitting name because some of her yarn looks like liquid sunshine!

Handmade Sunshine specializes in natural fibers such as Corridale wool, which is similar to Merino wool, but is thicker than Merino and perfect for felting as well as knitting or crocheting. Sarah plans to branch out into other fibers such as bamboo and cotton.

Sarah has been crocheting for 25 years. She began crocheting at the age of 5, but didn't really develop a passion until high school. She began spinning last year, and just fell in love with the whole process of creating beautiful hand made fibers from a pile of roving. Sarah has begun to sell her own lovely handmade creations knitted or crocheted with her own hand spun yarn.

Sarah is very willing to take an order for custom spinning. Send her an Etsy convo and she'll be happy to work up a special order for just the yarn you're looking for! She is happy to ship internationally.
