Think Summer! Create Crochet Team Challenge

Warmer weather is on it's way, and with it comes the first CreateCrochet Team Creative Challenge! For this challenge, team members were asked to create a crocheted item inspired by summertime pleasures--a "summer experiment."

Voting begins today, April 13, and the poll will be open
through Monday, April 20 (12 noon EST).

Every person who enters a vote for this challenge will be automatically entered in the next Create Crochet Team giveaway, which begins on Monday April 20th.
Please note! After you vote, add a note to the comments section so we can contact you if you win the giveaway!

Be sure to click on the item photo to be taken to the members shop for a complete description and purchasing details.

Thank you to all our creative members who entered this challenge!

#1: Pineapples for Baby Easy Crochet Pattern

A little bit different, this baby blanket is crocheted in the round, with very few ends that require weaving in once you are finished. Although this blanket may look difficult to make, it is rated as suitable for an advanced beginner. It would make a wonderful christening blanket or stroller throw!

#2: Citrus Facial Scrubbies

These are the face scrubs you won't mind hangin' around. Set of 2 shell -shaped face scrubbies in 100% cotton ZESTY colored yarn! One Yellow and one Orange. And yes, of course, you could use them for many other things as well. Use your imagination!

#3: Sun and Surf Dish Rags

These are so bright and vibrant in color. They remind me of a bright sunny day on the beach. The colors for three of these are blue, yellow and two shades of green. One of these wash rags is white, yellow, and a minty shade of green. This listing is for a set of four, three regular size and one jumbo.

#4: Gerbera Cell Phone Charm

This charm is inspired by my book thongs. The entire charm was crocheted from one continuous strand of yarn – i.e. no joining of separate parts – hence its uniqueness. The charm can be detached from the cell phone strap so you can use it for something else, such as a bag charm.

#5: Upcycled Plarn Market Bag

This is a large, fully lined upcycled market bag or beach bag. The bag is handknit with a combination of plarn(recycled plastic shopping bags) and new mill end polyester yarn. The straps were crocheted out of the same plarn/recycled yarn mix

#6: Foam Green Crochet Baby Afghan

This lovely foam green crochet Baby Afghan is made with a soft yarn. The open pattern afghan is foam green trimmed with a white shell pattern. The afghan measures approximately 40 inches square.

#7 Flower Pair Motifs

These crochet flowers are so cute and versatile... you can slip them on my small, medium and alligator clips, as well as headbands as seen in one of the pictures. Also you string them on ribbon for a necklace or as a brooch with a safety pin

#8: Orange Sherbet Cloche

This is just the cutest little hat! The brim is perfect for keeping the sun out and can be flipped up or left down. It's made with 100% cotton yarn and has a ribbon tie that you can wear to the side or at the back. Shown in size 18 - 24 months.
